This is a great list! I would also add drinking alcohol to the debunked section of common writer misconceptions. Recent research shows that while alcohol may help you come up with ideas, it does NOT help you execute them on the page!

Always write cold sober. Even Charles Bukowski said he wrote sober, that it was impossible to write anything good any other way.
